The Alliance - Equipment

Equipment Used

In this film we used a variety of different pieces of equipment, these pieces were:

- Canon EOS 70D with a Canon EF-S Zoom - 18 - 135mm lens
- K&F Concept Cardioid Microphone
- FOTOWELT Glide-Cam Stabilizer
- Tripod.

Below is an image of what the set up looked like when filming:

We used the Canon as it allowed us to film in Full HD, this means that we had 1920x1080 pixels and it was at 30 frames per second. The camera also had great auto focus tracking which was useful during the running scenes and also had high ISO range which allowed us to record in a great quality so was therefore easier to shoot. The mic we used was good for when we were picking up sound from in front of us, this is good as it wouldn't capture the sound of civilians walking around the common whilst we were recording. It was also great at picking up the audio for our voices. We kept switching between the stabilizer and the tripod, this was because they were better suited for different situations.
